What to Expect
Before Your Session
New clients may be asked to complete an intake form before their appointment. The information helps your therapist understand relevant health considerations, areas of concern, and your goals for the session.
At the beginning of the appointment, you and your therapist will briefly discuss the session plan, preferred pressure, areas to focus on, and any areas you would like avoided.
During Your Session
Your therapist will adjust the pressure, pacing, positioning, and areas of focus based on your comfort and feedback. You are always welcome to request more or less pressure, ask for a change in position, redirect the focus, or end the session.
Communication can be minimal during a relaxation-focused session or more frequent during concentrated work. Your preferences will guide how much conversation and checking-in occurs.
Professional draping is used throughout the massage. Only the area being worked on is uncovered, and your privacy and comfort remain priorities throughout the appointment.
After Your Session
After the massage, your therapist may share general observations about areas that felt especially tense or restricted. These observations are not a medical diagnosis.
Your therapist may also offer general self-care suggestions or discuss whether another massage session may be helpful based on your goals. You are never required to commit to a treatment plan or recurring appointment schedule.
