Healthy Body Massage Policies
By booking or receiving services at Healthy Body Massage, clients agree to follow these policies.
At Healthy Body Massage, our goal is to provide a safe, professional, respectful, and therapeutic environment for every client. Please review the following policies before your appointment.
Appointments & Booking
Appointments are required. Walk-ins are not generally accepted.
When booking an appointment, please provide accurate contact information and select the service that best matches your needs. If you are unsure which service to choose, we are happy to help guide you.
Appointment times are reserved specifically for you. Please make any changes to your appointment as early as possible.
Arrival / Late Arrivals
Please arrive a few minutes before your scheduled appointment time, especially if it is your first visit or if you need to update your intake information.
We do not have a general waiting area. A companion may remain when reasonably necessary as a caregiver, interpreter, parent or guardian of a minor, or accessibility support person. Other companions may be asked to wait elsewhere during the appointment.
If you arrive late, your session will still end at the originally scheduled time so the next client is not delayed. The full session price remains due.
If we are running behind schedule, your session time will not be reduced.
Cancellation / No-Show
We understand that schedules change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify us as early as possible.
Cancellations or rescheduling requests made with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged the full scheduled session price.
Clients who do not arrive for their appointment and do not contact us are charged the full scheduled session price.
A valid payment card is required when a first-time client books an appointment. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in limits on future booking or refusal of future service.
Payment
Payment is due at the time of service.
We accept cash, credit and debit cards, eligible HSA or FSA cards, and local checks.
Clients are responsible for determining whether a service or payment qualifies for reimbursement or payment through an HSA, FSA, insurance plan, or other third-party benefit. Clients are also responsible for providing any requested information directly to that third party. Unless required by a court order, Healthy Body Massage does not communicate with HSA administrators, insurers, or other third parties concerning a client.
Prices are subject to change. Any quoted price at the time of booking will be honored for that scheduled appointment unless the service is changed.
Gratuity is appreciated but never required.
Refunds
Massage services are time-based professional services and are generally non-refundable once the session has been provided.
If you are dissatisfied with your session, please let us know as soon as possible. We want the opportunity to address concerns professionally and respectfully.
Refunds, credits, or adjustments may be considered at management’s discretion.
Gift Certificates
Gift certificates are location-specific and may be redeemed only at the Orlando or Vero Beach location for which they were purchased.
Appointments may be booked online using a gift certificate. Any remaining balance may be used toward a later eligible purchase at the same location.
Standard purchased gift certificates do not expire and are not redeemable for cash except where required by law. Lost or stolen gift certificates may not be replaceable without proof of purchase.
Promotional certificates, donated certificates, or discounted offers may have separate terms, limitations, or expiration dates where permitted by law.
Health Conditions / Intake
Before receiving massage, clients may be asked to complete or update an intake form. Please provide accurate information about your health history, current symptoms, injuries, medications, surgeries, allergies, pregnancy status, and any medical conditions that may affect your session.
Massage may not be appropriate for certain conditions. In some cases, we may modify the session, avoid specific areas, postpone the appointment, or request medical clearance before providing service.
It is the client’s responsibility to inform the therapist of any changes in health before each session.
Illness
Please reschedule your appointment if you are feeling ill, have a fever, contagious condition, unexplained rash, vomiting, diarrhea, flu-like symptoms, or symptoms of a respiratory infection.
Massage is not recommended when the body is actively fighting illness, and receiving massage while sick may worsen symptoms or expose others.
If you arrive visibly ill, your therapist may decline to provide service and ask you to reschedule.
Prenatal Massage
Prenatal massage is available for clients who are pregnant, when appropriate.
Please inform us when booking if you are pregnant, how far along you are, and whether you have any pregnancy-related complications or medical concerns.
Prenatal massage may be modified for comfort and safety. Certain techniques, positions, pressure levels, and areas may be avoided.
Clients with high-risk pregnancies or certain medical conditions may be asked to obtain medical clearance before receiving massage.
Minors
Clients under the age of 18 must have consent from a parent or legal guardian before receiving massage.
A parent or legal guardian may be required to remain on-site or in the treatment room depending on the minor’s age, the service requested, and therapist discretion.
Massage for minors is provided only in a professional, therapeutic manner and may be modified as appropriate.
Draping & Comfort
Proper draping is required during every massage session. Only the area being worked on will be uncovered.
Clients may undress to their level of comfort. You may remain fully or partially clothed if preferred.
Please communicate with your therapist about pressure, temperature, positioning, music volume, or anything else that affects your comfort. Your therapist can adjust the session at any time.
You may stop the session at any point for any reason.
Professional Boundaries
Healthy Body Massage provides professional therapeutic massage only.
Inappropriate comments, jokes, gestures, requests, exposure, or behavior will not be tolerated. Any such behavior will result in the immediate end of the session, the full session fee will remain due, and future service may be refused.
Law enforcement may be contacted when appropriate.
Our therapists also have the right to end a session if they feel unsafe, disrespected, or if professional boundaries are violated.
Scope of Practice
Massage therapy is not a substitute for medical care, diagnosis, or treatment.
Our therapists do not diagnose medical conditions, prescribe medication, perform chiropractic adjustments, or provide medical advice.
Massage may support relaxation, mobility, pain management, recovery, and general wellness, but clients should consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical concerns.
Right to Refuse Service
Healthy Body Massage reserves the right to refuse or discontinue service for any reason, including but not limited to unsafe behavior, inappropriate conduct, intoxication, illness, contraindications, repeated no-shows, or situations outside the therapist’s scope of practice.
Clients who appear impaired by alcohol, recreational drugs, or other substances may be refused service. When an appointment cannot proceed because a client appears impaired, the full scheduled session price remains due.
If a session is ended due to inappropriate behavior or a policy violation, the full session fee remains due.
Privacy
Client information is treated with respect and used only as reasonably necessary to provide services and operate the practice.
Information provided on intake forms or during sessions is used to help provide safe and appropriate massage services.
We do not sell client information. Unless required by a court order, Healthy Body Massage does not communicate with HSA administrators, insurers, employers, family members, or other third parties concerning a client. Additional information is available in our Privacy Policy.
Unsolicited Sales Contact
Healthy Body Massage does not consent to unsolicited sales, marketing, lead-generation, directory, search-optimization, payment-processing, staffing, vendor, or similar promotional contact by phone, text message, email, contact form, business listing, social media, mail, or any other method.
