If you’ve ever booked a “60-minute massage” at a big chain, you might have noticed something annoying. You’re on the massage table at 5:05, and by 5:55, the therapist is already walking out the door.

Across most of the massage industry, the standard “hour” has quietly turned into just 50 minutes of actual hands-on work. The extra ten minutes for consultation and getting changed gets shaved right off your paid time on the table.

At Healthy Body Massage, we do things differently. The session length refers to your hands-on massage time. A 60-minute massage includes 60 minutes of hands-on care, a 90-minute massage includes 90 minutes, and a 120-minute massage includes 120 minutes.

Here is how we protect your table time while giving you a complete, unhurried experience:

We Buffer Our Schedule

We don’t run our day like an assembly line. The time around each appointment allows your therapist to listen, adjust the session to your needs, and provide attentive care.

Before your session: New-client intake forms are completed electronically before your visit whenever possible, allowing the in-person consultation to focus on your needs and goals. We ask new clients to arrive about 10 minutes early so your therapist can welcome you, review your intake form, ask a few questions, and map out a plan for your session. Returning clients should arrive about five minutes early to catch up on what needs attention that day. Once the plan is set, you are left alone to get comfortable on the table. Your hands-on time begins when the therapist returns to the room and starts the massage.

After your session: After the massage, your therapist will leave the room so you can take a breath, gather your thoughts, and ease back into reality without feeling hurried.

Full hands-on time depends on arriving on time. If you arrive late, your session may need to end at its originally scheduled time so later appointments are not delayed.

One-on-One Attention from Start to Finish

Your therapist guides your visit from the initial consultation through checkout after the session. You aren’t just another slot on a crowded schedule. You get real, personalized bodywork from someone who takes the time to listen and deliver the work you came in for.

Whether you are looking for a new spot for regular bodywork or it has just been a while since your last visit, come experience what a full, dedicated session feels like.
